Gibraltar-San Marino Joint Issue

The Gibraltar Philatelic Bureau has been working closely with the San Marino Philatelic Bureau to produce a superb joint stamp issue featuring similarities between both Gibraltar and San Marino.

San Marino will issue a souvenir sheet jointly with Gibraltar featuring mountains and rocks of two countries.

Sunday Funnies’ stamps

The U.S. Postal Service celebrated five newspaper comic strips by dedicating the Sunday Funnies stamps. The 44-cent First-Class stamps honor comic strips: Archie, Beetle Bailey, Dennis the Menace, Garfield and Calvin and Hobbes. The strips, as well as their characters, may have changed over the years, yet each remains an enduring classic.

Volcanic Eruption in Eyjafjallajökull

Iceland Post issued three stamps showing the eruption in Eyjafjallajökull Glacier earlier this year.
