100th Anniversary of Max Weiler

Max Weiler, born in 1910 in Hall in the Tyrol has gone far beyond being a national classic. Max Weiler, who would have been 100 years old in 2010, is being honoured by museums with exhibitions, while publishers are bringing out new or re-issuing old books, and the Post Office is issuing a commemorative stamp.

The stamp features painting by Max Weiler, “Bald geht die Sonne auf” (Soon the sun will rise), painted in 1970.
