Timbre William Turner


William Turner is a watercolor painter, draftsman and print maker born British in 1775 and died in 1851. He spoke with great technical mastery of light blows on the sea, storms, mountainous landscapes bathed in an auroral light, twilight or moonlit. The work represented here, from Calais Beach at low tide, is held at the Art Gallery and Museum in Bury.
