The French post issued a postage stamp to commemorate the first Youth Olympic Games to be held at Singapore in August 2010.

The Youth Olympic Games (YOG) was created in 2007 by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the first summer games in 2010 will be held in Singapore from 14 to 26 August 2010.A through its YOG, the objective IOC is to promote sport for young people and raise awareness of the Olympic values – brotherhood, universality, peace – and societal issues – lifestyle, media, environment, nutrition … This event is not just about sport but also education and culture.

As young athletes from 14-18 years participating in competitive sports but also in seminars and educational forums on the social values through sport.
