The Philatelic Bureau of Malta Post will be issuing a set of 2 stamps and a Miniature sheet commemorating the forthcoming 2010 FIFA World Cup.

The set entitled 2010 FIFA WORLD CUP SOUTH AFRICA will be issued on the day of the opening match of the tournament – 11 June 2010. The FIFA World Cup will take place between the 11 June and 11 July 2010 and will behosted in South Africa.

The sheet depicts a spiral of the flags of nations where the competition was hosted in recent years on the €0.63 stamp and ending with the South African flag on the €2.50 stamp depicting Zakumi,the tournament’s mascot.
