Games of the XXX Olympiad London 2012 – South Korea

In wishing Korean players to fully realize their potential in this meaningful Games of the XXX Olympiad London 2012 in the city of London, two commemorative stamps featuring swimming and archery are issued.

At Closing of the LONDON 2012 Olympic Games, it will be handed over to Rio de Janeiro for the 2016 Olympic Games.

This Games of the XXX Olympiad London 2012 have embraced the wonderful dream of holding an environment-friendly Olympics by minimizing carbon emission from the construction of the Olympic park and stadiums, minimizing the creation of waste from construction works, and making maximum use of ecological resources.

The 1948 London Olympic Games was meaningful in the sense that it was the first Olympic Games in which Korean players participated while wearing the name tag of “Korean Players.”
