XXII Winter Olympics

The Winter Olympics 2014, officially the XXII Winter Olympics Games, or the 22nd Winter Olympics, is a major international multi-sport event scheduled to be celebrated from 7 to 23 February 2014, in Sochi, the Russian Federation with some events held in the resort town of Krasnaya Polyana.

Both the Olympic and Paralympic Games are being organized by the Sochi Organizing Committee (SOOC).

The 2014 Winter Olympics are the first Winter Olympics (and first Olympics altogether) for the Russian Federation, as the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow were in the former Soviet Union.

The story of our fantastic mascots is that they arrived from a far-out planet and that they have infinite potential.

It is a highly powerful and emotional image that, despite the difference in their make-up, the Ray of Light and the Snowflake are so united.

  1. Not interesting, a pity if we see the very attractive Russian stamps.

  2. The March Australian Bird stamps are very similar to Indian Water Birds. Those with knowledge of water birds may please confirm India has some of the water birds also.
