IOM post commemorated the one-hundredth anniversary of the most infamous maritime disaster that shocked the world with a set of six stamps.

RMS Titanic was a British passenger liner that sank in the North Atlantic Ocean on 15 April 1912 after colliding with an iceberg during her maiden voyage from Southampton, England to New York City. The sinking of Titanic caused the deaths of 1,514 people in one of the deadliest peacetime maritime disasters in history. She was the largest ship afloat at the time of her maiden voyage. One of three Olympic class ocean liners operated by the White Star Line, she was built between 1909–11 by the Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast. She carried 2,224 people.

Dublin Dance Festival 2012 Programme announced four new Irish postage stamps celebrating Irish Contemporary Dance. Dancers from the four featured Irish contemporary dance companies – Dance Theatre of Ireland; Coiscéim Dance Theatre, Fabulous Beast and Irish Modern Dance Theatre unveiled the diamond-shaped 55c stamps by top Irish designer, Ms Ger Garland.

Chunghwa Post issued a second set of four stamps and a souvenir sheet featuring Four species of mushroom found at mid-altitudes.
1. Amanita rubrovolvata (NT$5): The mushroom has an orange to red cap (pileus). The mushroom’s central stem (stipe) is cream to pale orange-yellow in color. The stem has a ring (annulus) on its upper half and a large basal bulb. It can often be found in mixed forests at mid-altitudes. This mushroom is poisonous.

Denmark post issued a stamp in the EUROPA 2012 series along with many other European countries. The stamp depicts Pierrot pedalling away on his “Christiania bike” in the middle of rush hour, with Harlequin sitting in the box at the front.

For the Europa Stamps 2012, the waterways of Amsterdam, symbolising the position and attraction of the Netherlands as a land of water, is the theme that has been selected as the interpretation of the EUROPA Stamp Best Design Competition’s 2012 theme of ‘Visit…’. The stamps show how Amsterdam’s wealth and development as a city has been dominated by its historic concentric rings of canals and the River Amstel (featured on the Europa stamps), as well as by the River IJ and the Oosterdok docking basin (featured on the Netherlands stamps).
