Zodiac Monkey stamps and Chinese astrology
The year 2016 is also called as Lunar year of the Monkey as the Chinese new year is celebrated at the turn of the lunisolar Chinese calendar.
According to Chinese astrology and belief, those born in the year of the Monkey are often said to possess character traits such as curiosity, mischievousness and cleverness. They are fun and loving persons who are always cheerful and energetic.
Each Zodiac Sign is also associated with one of the five elements of Chinese astrology, namely: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water.
As 2016 is the year of the Fire Monkey, they are energetic, determined and expressive. Their creativity combined with will power and initiative make them innovative and full of strength and determination.
The First Day Cover is cancelled with a special Zodiac Monkey postmark.
