Trade-union movement in Belarus


The Ministry of Communications of the Republic of Belarus will issue a souvenir sheet “Trade-union movement in Belarus. VI Congress of trade unions of Belarus”.

The Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus (FPB) is a national trade union centre founded to co-ordinate the activity of member organizations, to dispute and protect the legal rights and interests of trade union members and organizations that are members of the FPB.

The Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus was founded on October 5-6, 1990 at the XVII Congress of trade unions of Belarus which declared itself the 1st congress of the FPB and accepted its Charter. The FPB is a successor of the Belarusian Republican Council of Trade Unions. The supreme organ of FPB is a congress. On September 15-16, 2010 in Minsk they will hold the VI Congress of trade unions of Belarus.
