World post Day 2015 stamps issued by Thailand

Thailand post issued a stamp to celebrate the world post day and to create awareness about the national postal services available to public.

The stamp features the artistic view of the postal services and network.

The image shows a person carrying parcel surrounded by various services offered by Thai post.

The stamp also bears the UPU logo of World postal Day.

World Post Day was declared by the UPU Congress held in Tokyo, Japan in 1969.

It is celebrated each year on 9 October, the day of the establishment of the Universal Postal Union in 1874 in the Swiss Capital, Bern.
